The Declaration of Arbroath is on display at The National Museum of Scotland until the 2nd of July 2023. I had the humbling experience of viewing it. The people that put their seals to it were dedicated to preserving the liberty of the sovereign people of Scotland over the oppression of the English King. The fought for this and many lost their lives in the process. The declaration demonstrated a unity of the people of Scotland under the banner of freedom. This is something that the Independence movement could learn from those Authors of the declaration. I am sure they would be rolling in their grave thinking that we are no united due to political differences and being divided over social issues. The world has changed so much since then though, thats perhaps why we are so divided. I would disagree simply because the nature of liberty has not changed, and never will.
